Lined tote bag made from a repurposed vintage handmade quilt that was most likely made in the 1950s. Featuring many colors, such as red, white, blue, yellow, green, and all these colors in many fabric patterns, this was a true scrap quilt, made when using every leftover bit of fabric mattered.
For extra strength, the bag body is quilt stitched onto batting; a reinforced bottom made from upcycled denim gives it additional support, while the denim straps as well as a front pocket made from an actual jeans pocket add to the casual boho vibe of this unique bag. Perfect for so many uses.
Lined with a floral upholstery cotton, which is also used for the inside pocket.
Closes with a recessed zipper.
Much care has been taken to select the best parts of this vintage quilt; that said, some fading or slight discoloration, normal to a textile several decades old, may be present.
Measures 11.5" wide by 4.25" deep; it is just under 14" tall.
Inside pocket is ca. 8" wide x 7" deep. Straps are 24" from end to end, giving them a drop of about 12".
Hand wash cold, no bleach, don't twist or wring, dry flat or hang to dry, medium steam iron if needed.
